A nostalgic collection of old family photographs, capturing timeless memories.

Whether you’re starting from scratch or trying to break through a difficult research problem, I undertake Australian and English family history research, family trees and detailed family history reports. Research may draw on birth, death and marriage records, newspapers, electoral rolls, archival collections, subscription databases and the various archives and libraries, as well as other relevant sources. Where appropriate, DNA analysis may also be incorporated into a research project to help explore or test family connections.

Need a particular record found, obtained or interpreted? I can research a wide range of Australian and English records, whether the information is held online or in an archive. Based in Western Australia, I can undertake on-site research at relevant Perth and regional repositories where appropriate, as well as search collections interstate and overseas and arrange copies of records when available. The aim is not simply to locate a record, but to understand what it can tell us and how it fits with the wider evidence.

Discover the history behind an Australian home or property. House history research can uncover previous owners and occupants, changes of ownership, the development of the property and the people connected with it. Depending on the location and period, research may include Land Titles, rate books, electoral rolls, newspapers, directories, maps, photographs and other local and archival sources to build a picture of the property’s past.
